Mary Jo Daley hosting Real ID information session May 30 in Conshohocken

A representative from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will provide a presentation on Real ID procedures and will answer questions afterward.

State Rep. Mary Jo Daley, D-Montgomery, will present a Real ID information session for any and all interested parties on Thursday, May 30, from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Conshohocken Borough Hall’s Public Meeting Room, 400 Fayette St., Conshohocken.

This educational event will offer a chance to learn about Real ID, including what it is, how to get it, deadlines, and more. A representative from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will provide a presentation on Real ID procedures and will answer questions afterward.

“Real ID can get confusing, so if you have any questions, join us at the Conshohocken Borough Hall, and we’ll get you squared away,” Daley said.

Pennsylvania residents are not required to get a Real ID-compliant driver’s license, but they will need a federally accepted ID (a passport or a Real ID) to board a commercial flight or visit a secure federal building beginning Oct. 1, 2020.

Real IDs are available now through PennDOT.

Daley is asking those interested to RSVP electronically through herwww.pahouse.com/MDaley website, though RSVPs are not mandatory to attend, she said.

OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS:

  • Daley will have a booth at the Plymouth Township Day on June 1 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at 900 Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting.
  • A new initiative will replace “mobile offices” starting in June. Staff from Daley’s office will begin regularly visiting senior living facilities in the 148th Legislative District. The Narberth mobile office closed after May 9, and the Ambler mobile office will be open for the final time from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Monday, May 20.
