Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust is always improving to offer better services and convenience for their customers, so they are happy to announce that the Royersford Branch is now officially re-opened and ready to serve the community.

The Spring-Ford Chamber of Commerce assisted with the branch’s ribbon cutting held recently. Several local civic leaders, business leaders, board members, staff, customers and not-yet-customers were on hand for the open house and reception following the ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Phoenixville Federal is proud of their roots and their long history, being a part of the Royersford community since 1975. Located on the corner of North Lewis Road and Church Street, the original Royersford branch became the second branch office of the over 100-year-old bank.

The renovation of the 45-year-old building began last July after the staff moved to temporary quarters, a 70-foot trailer on the property. The existing building was demolished to ground level, leaving only the basement and the vault visible. The project took eight months to complete.

“We are very excited to finally be open and to bring up-to-date banking technology to the Royersford branch,” said Doug Darlington, President/CEO. “This will enable us to serve our customers and the community even better – faster and more accurate.”

The open concept branch features a clearstory roof, gas fireplace, history wall of photos provided by the Spring-Ford Area Historical Society, and large windows throughout. Universal banker “pods” serve multiple functions including basic transactions, new accounts, and general customer service.

In addition to the updated floor plan and a fresh, modern look, Chuck Benz, SVP Retail Operations/Security Officer said, “We used a state-of-the-art security system with indoor/outdoor coverage, while improving the exterior lighting for the safety of our customers and staff. We also reconfigured the traffic flow in the parking lot to allow for entry and exit on Main Street.”

PW Campbell was the architect/designer of the iconic blue-roofed building, while local firm, A-1 Construction, was hired as general contractor for the project.

The financially strong bank headquartered in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania with multiple branches in Chester and Montgomery Counties, Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust provides a diverse portfolio of personal and business checking, savings and lending products and services, including wealth management and trust services. Phoenixville Federal Bank & Trust is a mutually-owned community bank committed to improving the quality of life in the communities it has served for more than 100 years.
