Norristown, Montgomery County was once a thriving hub of commerce, manufacturing, and leisure with DeKalb Street serving as the town’s crown jewel. Beautiful buildings that remain standing today were home to many of Norristown’s most prestigious residents.

Already 75 percent of the 34 total homes in the Arbor Knoll community are sold, almost entirely to first time homebuyers, noted developer Sarah Peck, president of Progressive New Homes, who has been acclaimed for making affordably priced home ownership in the Philadelphia area her company’s focus, writes Gary Puleo in The Times Herald.
