Andy Vitek has high hopes for his Youtube car show Turn 1.  The show has a growing following after two seasons with some episodes eclipsing 100,000 views. Vitek would love to see his show continue to grow as much as possible but says the show has already served its true purpose.

“Turn 1 was created for a few reasons. The first was to create something exciting that would keep my boys and I together, having a common interest and purpose,” he said. “The second reason Turn 1 was created was to bring exciting, interesting videos to a public thirsty for car adventures.”

Andy Vitek and his sons Drew and Alex created Turn1 with the help of their former neighbor Dave Macdonald, a producer and communications professional. Vitek and MacDonald had talked about making a car show since his kids were little but life always seemed to get in the way. When his son Alex left for Fordham University and his other son Drew moved back to Philadelphia for work, Andy decided it was time to give his long time dream a shot.

Over two seasons the team has been to exotic locations such as Ireland and Croatia, driving some equally exotic cars along the way. Highlights include a Ferrari Testarosa, an Aston Martin DB9, a Corvette Stingray and an Audi R8. “What we enjoy is showcasing other people’s cars,” said Vitek. “We hand-select cars that would be of interest, educate the viewers on the vehicles.”

Andy Vitek attributes the shows success to the expertise of Dave MacDonald, and of course MacDonald gives the credit to Viteks. “He’s very passionate about automotive stuff,” McDonald said. Turn 1 “combined my passion for storytelling and his for cars. It was the perfect fit.”
