More than 230 women leaders from the Greater Philadelphia area and Montgomery County attended the “2018 Women and Leadership” Forum, which featured highly accomplished women speakers sharing their knowledge and experience, and strategies for growth and success. The event was held at Presidential Caterers in East Norriton Township.

Attendees were inspired by keynote speakers Raquel Arredondo, who talked about the importance of cultivating mentors, and Annie McKee, who recently published the best-seller “How to Be Happy at Work” The Power of Purpose, Hope and Friendship.” Tracy Davidson, news anchor NBC 10 moderated a thought-provoking panel presentation on leadership and deepening professional relationships.

The Foundation’s prestigious “Woman of Distinction” Award was given to the mother-daughter duo of Kathy McGee Burns and Judge Kelly C. Wall. Attendees took away key tips, tools and resources for developing their leadership potential and create success and happiness in their personal and professional lives.

“This Forum is a unique opportunity for attendees to learn important strategies for success and take away invaluable tools related to mentorship, career growth, negotiation, building key partnerships and how not just to succeed but to be happy in the workplace,” said Virginia Frantz, President and CEO, Montgomery County Foundation Inc. “The Montgomery County Foundation Inc. is committed to providing educational resources that empower women leaders, and we are thrilled that we have highly accomplished and remarkable women to share their knowledge and experiences with these attendees.”

The Forum is equally beneficial to non-profit, academic, private and public organizations- existing and aspiring staff, board members and volunteer leaders.
