From Calabria, Italy to Skippack, Montgomery County, it was a dream not to be denied.

Domenico Talese was born and raised in Southern Italy in a small town called Maida, Calabria. He spent most of his teenage years working in a family owned restaurant, Nausicaa, managed by his uncle, and the chef was one of a kind, his grandmother!  During this time he realized his dream was to own an Italian restaurant.  He just didn’t know at this time it may not be in Italy!

Fast forward, and Domenico moved to USA in 2004.  He opened his first pizzeria in 2006, partnering with Yoram Maman, who had been busy realizing his own dreams.  Domenico and Yoram opened Palermo’s Pizza of Phoenixville, it would be the second of six Palermo’s the two would eventually come to own. Maman had grown the original Palermo’s in Blue Bell into a thriving business.

Their partnership continued to grow and Palermo’s Pizza began to expand across the region, and the management team expanded as well when Asaf Yehiel joined Domenico and Yoram.

After years of honing his skills, Domenico was finally ready to pursue the concept for an Italian restaurant that would resemble, Nausicaa, where he learned the business he would come to love.

He began planning in 2016, and in 2017 found his ideal location in Skippack!  Vallini Skippack (BYOB) began to take shape!  An authentic, simple Southern Italian Kitchen is at the heart of Vallini.  Along with great food, Domenico strives to create a welcoming family friendly atmosphere where everyone feels like family the moment they enter the door!

Now in 2018, Domenico and Yoram’s partnership extends further with TimeOut Sports Bar in Skippack, coming soon! TimeOut’s concept is to provide a hang out where our guests can take a TimeOut from work, stress and their to do list. It’s ‘Game On’ for spending time with family and friends!

The success of Vallini and all of the Palermo restaurants provide the partners with the positive reinforcement they need to meet another opportunity with open arms.

TimeOut is expected to open within the next few weeks. Meanwhile, Vallini is just across the street, thousands of miles from Calabria, but right in the heart of Skippack, ready to welcome you with a small taste of southern Italy.
