Afilias Inc., the world’s second largest domain registry, announced Friday its corporate headquarters would join its operating subsidiary Afilias USA Inc. in Horsham following its decision to establish a new corporate parent entity in Delaware, writes Alison Burdo in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

In a press release, the company explained the decision to relocate is connected to the evolution of its customer base –its two largest customers, including the .org registry operator Public Interest Registry and GoDaddy, are based in the United States – and the “recent favorable U.S. tax changes.”

The new corporate headquarters are at 300 Welsh Road, not far from the intersection of Welsh and Dresher roads in Horsham. The Philadelphia suburb also recently became the expected future home of a laboratory services company, which is building out its new Horsham headquarters now.
