Rev Run makes record-breaking donation to Valley Forge Park

None other than Gen.  George Washington himself was on hand Wednesday to help organizers celebrate the donation from the  annual Revolutionary Run to Valley Forge National Historical Park — the largest in the Run’s 13-year history.

Fittingly, the check presentation to park, hosted by Rev Run sponsor Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board (VFTCB), took place in front of Washington’s headquarters. writes Gary Puleo at timesherald.com.

As he addressed the small crowd gathered in the brutal morning sun, “Washington” said he was full of mixed emotions about returning to his home base during the Revolutionary War.

“I understand that we are here today to discuss and support the visitor experience. I must admit that we had a very different visitor experience,” he joked.
