PA lieutenant governor: John Fetterman wins Democratic nomination, Jeff Bartos snags Republican nod

Braddock Mayor John Fetterman won the Democratic nomination for Pennsylvania lieutenant governor in Tuesday’s primary, while Jeff Bartos, a real estate and contracting company founder and Berks County native, snagged the Republican nomination.

Fetterman won against four fellow Democrats, including incumbent Mike Stack, who sought reelection without Gov. Tom Wolf’s endorsement, write Colin Deppenn and Michaela Winberg at billypenn.com.

Stack and Wolf had a a high-profile falling out that coincided with publicized allegations of Stack’s mistreatment of staff and the Democratic Party’s closeted push to find his replacement. Wolf endorsed no one in the LG race, choosing instead to stay out of the fray and focus on his own reelection hopes.
