Parade for champion Wildcats set for Thursday

The parade for the Villanova University men’s basketball team, which soundly defeated the University of Michigan Monday night to win its second NCAA Championship in the past three years, will  will begin at 11 a.m.  Thursday and run at 20th and Market streets.

The parade will proceed to Dilworth Park in front of City Hall, where the team wil be honored withh a rally, writes Jeff Blumenthal at bizjournals.com

The Wildcats soundly defeated the University of Michigan Monday night to win its second NCAA Championship in the past three years.

That route is the same one employed in 2016. City officials announced road closures and parking restrictions in the vicinity of the event and warned that delays can be expected during that time.
