Lower Merion has made it into the top half of the list at 46, due to its 97 percent graduation rate, low crime, median household income of $117,000, and projected job growth of 4.5 percent.

The area’s good weather is also a factor, as the frequent blue skies means that residents can take full advantage of the town’s playgrounds, swimming pools and parks.

East Norriton also made the list at 83 with a median household income of $81,957, high school graduation rate of 79 percent, and projected job growth of 4.5 percent. It also benefits from the advantages of good weather for two thirds of the year, and low average commute times of around 30 minutes.
