Vertex, the corporate tax software company, has consolidated its operations at its new headquarters on Renaissance Boulevard in King of Prussia.

Corporate tax software company Vertex officially opened its new headquarters on Renaissance Boulevard in King of Prussia with a ribbon cutting ceremony last week, writes Brian McCullough for Daily Local News.

Until now, Vertex had been spread out over seven buildings in Berwyn and Chesterbrook. The new headquarters consolidates all of this under one roof and provides room for further expansion. The company currently has 900 employees worldwide with 650 of them based in its new headquarters.

According to the company’s executives, the new building boasts an open floor plan with spacious meeting rooms for collaboration. This has helped improve communications between employees and attract new hires.

“It’s definitely very positive for us in the marketplace” for workers,” said David Howry, director of human resources at Vertex. “We get greater access to Philadelphia and public transportation.”

Vertex’s decision to stay in the region was also influenced by generous incentives from the Governor’s Action Team in October. Through them, the company received a $750,000 Pennsylvania First Program Grant as well as $450,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits that will be distributed once more jobs are created.
