According to the latest analysis by WalletHub, Pennsylvania has a long road ahead when it comes to women’sequality.

The 2017’s Best & Worst States for Women’s Equality study puts the Keystone State seventh from bottom nationwide, making it one of the worst states when it comes to the issue of women’s equality.

The ranking was based on fifteen metrics which were separated into three categories. These included Workplace Environment, Education & Health, and Political Empowerment.

The study also took into account income levels, disparity in the number of minimum-wage workers, difference in levels of educational, and the number of representatives of each sex in the state legislature.

Pennsylvania ranked forty-forth, with a score of 41.32. However it was not all bad new as Pennsylvania did relatively well in Education & Health at 23rd. However, in the Workplace Environment category it ranked 39, and second to last in Political Empowerment.

Pennsylvania also had room for improvement in the working environment as the results showed it is 31st in the Minimum-Wage Workers Gap, 34th in Earnings Gap, 36th in Work Hours Gap, and 40th for its Executive Positions Gap.

To top it off, the State’s lowest rankings were in the Entrepreneurship Gap and Political Representation Gap, as it came second to last in both metrics.
