Patient First Urgent Care has expanded its services with a new location in Collegeville, writes David A. Kostival for Reading Eagle.

The new facility at 1411 S. Collegeville Road in Upper Providence Township opened on July 27. It is the latest addition to Patient First’s family of Urgent Care facilities in Montgomery County.

Vice president of Marketing and Public Relations, Ian Slinkman, said that in a highly populated area such as Collegeville there was a distinct need for this type of clinic.

“The goal of Patient First is to provide convenient, cost-effective medical care on a walk-in basis,” said Dr. R.P. Sowers, founder and CEO of Patient First.

The facility is open daily, with Patient First physicians and support staff available to provide on-site care. Patients with no primary-care provider can receive treatment, and those that do can get a copy of their transcript faxed to their physician.

“We have gotten some very nice feedback from our patients,” Slinkman said. “We appreciate and pay close attention to all patient comments. The feedback been overwhelmingly positive, with frequent compliments about the friendly, caring staff.”
