TruMark Financial’s Investigator of Fraud Crimes Recognized for Work with Elderly

The Philadelphia Financial Exploitation Prevention Taskforce recently recognized Linda Johnson, fraud crimes investigator at Fort Washington-based TruMark Financial Credit Union, for her work in the fight against elder abuse.

Johnson, a member of the Philadelphia Financial Exploitation Task Force, conducts and participates in workshops for older adults that provide methods for:

  • keeping seniors’ money and assets safe
  • making good financial decisions as one ages
  • identifying ways to prevent being a victim of elder financial abuse

The task force meets monthly and consists of representatives from law enforcement and the Philadelphia Corporation for the Aging, financial institution investigators, and professionals who work with the elderly. The group discusses cases regarding scams against the elderly, law changes, and educating the elderly against financial abuse.
