Sam Hinkie, the former general managers of the Sixers, relied on the power of nature to clear snow from his driveway in Bryn Mawr, writes Dan McQuade for Deadspin.com.

For many supporters of the iconic manager, this will come as no surprise as he was well known for having some quirky habits. This particular one has been revealed in a report by former Philadelphia Inquirer journalist, John Gonzalez.

In the article Gonzalez begins with a story about Hinkie during his first season as Sixers GM. This was his first taste of winter in his new $3.1 million home in Bryn Mawr.

It was also the winter of 2013-14, which had the second largest amount of snow in recorded history.

During this time, Gonzalez was chatting with Hinkie and asked him how he is coping with having to shovel all this snow. But the reply he got was completely unexpected.

He said he did not hate shoveling,  because he had not done any at all. Instead he said he just let the snow cover the driveway of his home and would wait it out until the Spring.
