Bala Cynwyd’s Hamilton Lane Acquires Portland’s Real Asset Portfolio Management

Bala Cynwyd’s alternative investment management firm Hamilton Lane has acquired Real Asset Portfolio Management of Portland, writes Jeff Blumenthal for Philadelphia Business Journal.

During the announcement, Hamilton Lane said that the full RAPM team will join the combined firm in their current roles. Hamilton Lane currently has over $342 billion in total assets under management.

RAPM was established six years ago and manages around $3.8 billion. It focuses on investments in tangible assets such as precious metals, commodities, real estate, and oil.

RAPM’s leaders Steve Gruber and Brent Burnett will remain in Portland. From there, they will manage the newly combined real assets investment team. They will also join Hamilton Lane’s real assets investment committee.
