King of Prussia to Welcome First ‘Orchestra Premaman’ Store in the U.S.
French children’s clothing chain Orchestra Premaman is opening its first stateside location in the King of Prussia Mall. This will offer parents in Montgomery County and their little ones a new range of stylish outfits to chose from, writes Jacob Adelman for Philly.com.
The company will be opening the doors to its 4,405-square-foot store on May 15, in the space previously occupied by Children’s Place.
The King of Prussia location is just the start of Premaman’s expansion into the U.S. market. It is already planning to open another 10 to 20 stores in the U.S. each year from 2018. Orchestra Premaman currently has over 700 stores in 40 countries worldwide, and is in the process of merging with Destination Maternity.
According to Agathe Boidin, chief executive of Orchestra Premaman’s U.S. subsidiary, the company will first concentrate on the East Coast. King of Prussia Mall was chosen for its close proximity to the company’s national headquarters in Bala Cynwyd, and for its customer base.
According to Boidin, the mall’s attraction is its wide range of tenants from “Primark up to Louis Vuitton, so it really is a large range of customers. We really wanted a place where there is good traffic.”
