Abington’s Center School to Host Second Annual Run to Read 5K on Saturday

The Center School is hosting its second annual “Run to Read” event to support tuition expenses and programs associated with the school.

The Center School, a private school in Abington for children with language-based learning differences, will host its Second Annual Run to Read Event on Saturday, May 6 from 8:30 AM-3 PM at 2450 Hamilton Avenue in Abington.

The Run to Read 5K begins at 9:30 AM with an official kickoff from NBC10’s Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz. The 1-Mile Fun Walk begins at 9:45 AM. Immediately following is a Community Festival that offers something for everyone, like live entertainment, food from local eateries, rock wall climbing, carnival games, and raffles. The Phillie Phanatic will also be making an appearance at 10:30 AM.

Gold sponsors for the event include Fox Rothschild, Silverang, Donohue, Rosenzweig and Haltzman, Penn Medicine Heart and Vascular Center, Haverford Trust. Food sponsors include The Fresh Market, Chick-fil-A, Giant, Rosati Water Ice, Whole Foods, and Pepsi.

All proceeds benefit Center School programs that support children who learn differently.
