A partnership of three Wyndmoor residents has been approved by the Springfield Township Zoning Hearing Board to start development on the downtown.

Wyndmoor downtown is set to see some transformational changes thanks to a partnership of three of its residents, writes Pete Mazzaccaro for Chestnut Hill Local.

Jay Overcash, Gus Repetto, and Bill Casey have been granted the green light by the Springfield Township Zoning Hearing Board to move ahead with their proposed town center development plan. The trio, all of whom live in the neighborhood, are eager to bring positive change to the area they can later enjoy with their own families.

The development will be mixed-use, and will include a corner market, a coffee shop, yoga studio, as well as a family friendly Mediterranean restaurant and wine bar. According to Repetto, the partnership already has preliminary deals with tenants in place, the names of which will be revealed once the deals are finalized.

“The plan is to create a transformative project for Wyndmoor that will hopefully attract other developers and people to come in along the strip,” said Overcash.

The plan was met with approval from Jeff Harbison, president of Springfield Township’s board of directors, He emphasized that the town needed investments of this kind that will be good for people of Wyndmoor.
