Jenkintown’s Manor College has partnered with The American Red Cross for a blood drive on Tuesday, March 28. The drive is open to the community, and will take place from 10 AM-3 PM in the Manor College Gymnasium.

Participants are encouraged to participate in “Power Red,” which is a donation entailing a concentrated amount of red blood cells used every day for those in need of transfusions.

Individuals who donate to this help trauma and surgery patients, organ transplant patients, women dealing with childbirth complications, and people with anemia.

Those who are taking part in this blood drive are urged to stay as hydrated as possible and to boost their Vitamin C intake.

“As of this year, the American Red Cross has been experiencing a lack of blood donations. With this happening, the Manor community is happy to do their part in supplementing this shortage and contributing to saving the lives of others,” said Morgan McKenna, Student Engagement Coordinator at Manor College.

Contact McKenna at mmckenna@manor.edu if you have any questions regarding the blood drive.
