Bala Cynwyd-based Alex’s Lemonade Stand Finds Its Hero Ambassadors for This Year

By

Bala Cynwyd-based Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation will merge with I Care I Cure, a Florida-based nonprofit, to jointly continue their battle against childhood cancer.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand has found its National Lemonade Days Hero Ambassadors for this year’s Alex’s Lemonade Days.

The Bala Cynwyd nonprofit dedicated to finding cures for kids with cancer together with three selected families is inviting volunteers of all ages throughout the nation, to take a stand against childhood cancer when Alex’s Lemonade Days returns.

And this year, instead of just running over a weekend, Alex’s Lemonade Days will take place for an entire week starting June 3 for volunteers to host their stands.

Ciamarra family from Illinois, Hnatt family from Texas, and Talley family from Arizona will be supporting the cause as National Lemonade Days Hero Ambassadors.

All three families have been personally impacted by childhood cancer and will help spread awareness about the ongoing battle with this issue by sharing their personal journeys.

Alex’s Lemonade Days is a national volunteer fundraiser. It commemorates the challenge issued by ALSF’s founder, 8-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, to help her raise $1 million for childhood cancer cures, one lemonade cup at a time.

Since 2004, over 24,000 Lemonade Days stands have been held around the country, successfully raising more than $13 million.

Anyone wanting to join this worthy cause can visit Alex’s Lemonade Days site for more information.
