American Treasure Tour in Oaks Promises Fun Times with Eclectic Collection
From a huge collection of classic cars and store window animations to patriotic art and holiday items, the American Treasure Tour in Oaks is sure to amaze and entertain even the pickiest of visitors, writes Peg DeGrassa for Delaware County News Network.
Located in the former B.F Goodrich tire factory, the American Treasure Tour houses tens of thousands of Americana items divided into themed exhibitions. The venue’s current exhibitions include classic automobiles and mechanical music.
The classic vehicle collection has over 250 historic cars, and will soon be moved into a separate classic car museum in Lancaster. Meanwhile the mechanical music display has hundreds of examples including nickelodeons, band organs, and music boxes.
The remainder of the tour will take visitors on a journey through dolls and doll houses, model airplanes, carnival, and other wonderful surprises.
For anyone who doesn’t feel like walking through the vast display a tram car is available. Once on, visitors can comfortably sit back, listen to the tour guide, and enjoy the vast number of themed collections. You can even hop off the tram at certain points to get a closer look at the stunning displays.
