Global furniture giant IKEA which has its U.S. headquarters in Conshohocken has been busy this month, announcing both a new gift registry for U.S. customers and plans to open a third Dallas-Fort Worth area store.

The gift registry allows the furniture retailer’s customers to create wish lists for weddings, baby showers, housewarmings and other special occasions.

“A gift registry has been on our customers’ wish list for years,” noted Ashley Wahl, IKEA Gift Registry Project Leader and CRM Specialist.

To create a gift registry, customers can download the IKEA Gift Registry app, visit the Gift Registry site, or go to an IKEA store and use the IKEA Gift Registry kiosk.

To celebrate the new addition, IKEA is also giving a chance for three registry entrants to win a $1,000 IKEA gift card in a giveaway that ends on May 31. It will also offer additional giveaways and prizes on an ongoing basis.

In addition, the company is planning a new store in Fort Worth, Texas. This will be IKEA’s sixth location in the state and should be open by summer 2019.

“We are thrilled with our success in North Texas since opening our first store 11 years ago,” said Lars Petersson, IKEA’s U.S. president.
