Despite not coming out on top of a CNBC pitch contest, the Collegeville teen that created the MeetHere app with three other students will get the chance to promote his business at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Johannesburg, South Africa, writes Diane Mastrull for Philly.com.

Manshu Sharma, a student at Hill School in Pottstown, competed against 1,017 businesses from 101 countries, with the winner getting an all-expenses-paid trip to the Congress.

Despite not winning, Sharma soon received an email from the organizers offering him the chance to take the stage at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress.

The young entrepreneur’s parents have agreed to cover the cost of his stay in Johannesburg, giving him the chance to partake in the “experience of a lifetime.”
