Workers Compensation Claims Manager

This position manages the delivery of workers compensation claims services involving multiple states from a centralized division or multiple field locations. He/she is responsible for the accurate and timely review, evaluation, payment, and disposition of claims according to best practices. The person ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements unique to each state. He/she implements and trains associates on new workflows and compliance processes.

The ideal candidate will preferably possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field. He/she will have eight to ten years of work experience in workers compensation claims including at least three years in a supervisory or group leadership role. The person will have extensive knowledge of workers compensation laws, regulatory compliance, and EDI reporting obligations.

Director, Business Development – Small & Middle Market Surety

This position monitors market conditions and confirms information gathered within the market space. He/she receives input and monitors risk selection, renewal retention, and pricing decisions on a portfolio and individual account level. The person analyses portfolio performance as well as individual account performance and develops appropriate action to drive profitable growth.

The ideal candidate will preferably possess a bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field. He/she preferably will have ten years of commercial or contract surety or underwriting experience. The person will have significant business management and people leadership experience.

Manager – Underwriting, Commercial Middle Market Insurance

This position oversees research within a unit of five to eight underwriting associates. He/she establishes practice and methodology guidelines, identifies needs or potential issues, and consults on research issues from staff and leadership. The person establishes workflow standards and processes and manages performance measurements pertaining to the effectiveness of the unit’s delivery process, service capabilities, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will preferably possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. He/she will have a minimum of ten years of commercial lines underwriting experience. Middle market experience is preferred. The person will preferably possess CIC, CPCU, INS, and/or AU designations.
