SAP and IKEA Two of 50 Best Workplaces for Diversity Nationwide

Proving that diversity is not just a buzzword for them, both Conshohocken’s IKEA at 23rd and Newtown Square’s SAP America at 41st are on the recently released Fortune Magazine’s list of the 50 best workplaces for diversity, writes Michelle Caffrey for Philadelphia Business Journal.
IKEA, with around 15,000 workers in the U.S., reported that 20 percent of its workforce is African-American/black, 22 percent Hispanic/Latino, 7 percent Asian, and 46 percent Caucasian/white. The company also said that 41 percent of its executives are women.
At SAP, which has a workforce of roughly 19,700 nationwide composed of 3 percent African-American/black, 23 percent Asian, 4 percent Hispanic/Latino, and 68 percent Caucasian/white. The company’s executive staff is 30 percent women.
