An East Greenville furniture company is continuing to grow with the acquisition of a Buffalo based designer and manufacturer of contemporary conference and meeting room wood furniture, according to a staff report from The Morning Call.

Knoll, which has been a mainstay in Upper Hanover Township for over half a century, has added DatesWeiser Furniture Corporation. This is to advance its strategy of “building its global capability as a constellation of go-to resources for high-design workplaces and homes, including the commercial contract, decorator to-the-trade and consumer markets.”

“As with our other Specialty businesses, we are committed to the operational independence of DatesWeiser and its unique brand and cultural identity,” said Andrew Cogan, Knoll’s president and CEO. “All of us at Knoll look forward to working with Allan and his team in the years ahead.”

Knoll employs close to 3,400 people across the globe, 850 of them at its Upper Hanover Township headquarters and plant. Allan Weiser, DatesWeiser’s co-founder who will continue to lead the sales and operations teams after the merger, also said that Knoll is the ideal partner to help accelerate DatesWeiser’s growth.
