Harcum College, a two year liberal arts college with a wide variety of available degree programs, has several Chester County careers available.

Harcum College, an independent, coeducational, fully accredited, residential college, offers associate degrees in allied health, business and social science, as well as certificates and a variety of continuing studies programs on its Bryn Mawr Campus. Founded in 1915 by Edith Hatcher Harcum and Octavius Harcum, it was the first college in Pennsylvania chartered by the state to offer the associate degree.

Accounts Payable Clerk

This position is primarily responsible for verifying, obtaining approvals, and paying all vendors and associates in a timely and accurate manner. He/she audits invoices, assures compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures, and ensures proper back up is attached to expense reports. The person codes invoices and processes all approved invoices for payment.

The ideal candidate will preferably possess an associate degree in business or a related field. He/she will possess two to four years of experience with accounts payable. The person will be familiar with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Word.

Help Desk/User Support Specialist

This position manages the Harcum College Help Desk, responds to support phone calls and emails, and resolves reported hardware and software problems. He/she prepares and configures computer labs each semester by reimaging all workstations, reinstalling user profiles, and installing new or upgrading existing software as required. The person maintains a current inventory of all campus computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other devices.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience working in a Windows 2008 R2 Domain/Windows 7/8.1 environment. He/she will have the technical skills required for accurately diagnosing and resolving various hardware issues. The person will have working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP networking protocols. A bachelor’s degree, Cisco, or Microsoft Certification are a plus.

IT Administrator

This position designs system configuration, directs system installation, and defines, documents, and enforces system standards. He/she maximizes network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with other staff members on optimization. The person manages and supports the campus-wide wireless network.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field. He/she will have a thorough understanding of Cisco IOS and experience working with Cisco Core Switches, ASA Firewalls, and FireSight Web Filtering devices. Cisco CCNA certification and knowledge of SQL are plusses.
