Montgomery County Briefly: October 27

By

Manor College

Manor College in Jenkintown has partnered with The American Red Cross for a vampiresque event – a Halloween-themed blood drive on Monday, Oct. 31, from 10 AM-3 PM. What better way to celebrate a holiday that is filled with lots of fake blood than by donating some real blood?

All are welcome to attend the drive, as it is open to the community. Since the blood drive takes place on Halloween, all participants are welcome to dress up and participate in a Community Costume Contest (with a special prize for the winner)!

Participants are encouraged to participate in “Power Red,” which is a donation involving a concentrated dose of red blood cells used every day for those in need of transfusions. Those who donate to this help trauma and surgery patients, organ transplant patients, women dealing with childbirth complications, and people with anemia.
