Craft-Beer Sports Bar, Outback Steakhouse Coming to KOP Mall
Shoppers accustomed to getting their oil changed at the King of Prussia Mall will soon be able to top off with a very different kind of lubricant: craft beer, ale, lager, or imports, along with a little savory steak on the side.
The former Sears Auto Center at the King of Prussia Mall is being transformed into a pair of dining attractions: the craft beer sports bar Yard House and the Aussie-styled favorite Outback Steakhouse, according to a Philadelphia Business Journal report by Kenneth Hilario.
The King of Prussia Mall has already filled Sears’s next-door department store space with Primark and Dick’s Sporting Goods, and the auto center tenants will complete the changeover that started in 2015.
Though unconfirmed by the franchises for the moment, the two-restaurant deal was orchestrated by real estate investment trust Seritage Growth Properties, which strategically repurposes former Sears sites.
