As if We All Didn’t Know, Upper Merion Township a Real Estate Hot Spot
With an array of cultural attractions, a plethora of career opportunities, and an incredible ease of transportation, Upper Merion Township has become a hotbed of prime real estate.
“All you need to do is spend $300,000 to $400,000 on average for a house and just roll out of bed for work,” Duffy Real Estate’s John Duffy said in a Philadelphia Inquirer report by Alan Heavens.
That’s because corporate office parks dot the many intersections of Interstates 76 and 276, and Routes 202, 422, and 320. Upper Merion also hosts major employers Lockheed Martin and GlaxoSmithKline. And cultural destinations like the King of Prussia Mall and Valley Forge National Historical Park have also put it on the map.
“Wayne is where the more expensive houses are in Upper Merion,” Duffy agent Pam Owsik said in the article.
“These are the houses I like to think about: the post-World War II houses in nice little communities that people in those days thought was so far out from Philadelphia,” Duffy added.
While available land is now sparse, Upper Merion’s lower taxes are a big draw for new residents.
