Fort Washington’s Kappa Media Acquires Wisconsin Printer

Fort Washington’s Kappa Media has acquired the business, assets, and printing facility of Times Printing in Random Lake, Wisconsin.

Fort Washington’s Kappa Media has acquired the business, assets, and printing facility of Times Printing in Random Lake, Wisc., writes Erik Cagle of Printing Impressions magazine.

Times Printing is a full-service provider of color printing services for magazines, catalogs, and other publications. The new entity will continue to do business as Times Printing and will retain the employees and plant.

“We are delighted to add the talented personnel and modern Wisconsin-based production facility to the expanding Kappa Media group of affiliated companies,” said Nicholas Karabots of Kappa Printing Group.

Managed by Spartan Organization, the Kappa Media group of affiliated companies consist of various Kappa publishing related entities that serve the newsstand magazine, children’s activity book, and map markets. Kappa Graphics, Vanguard Printing, and Craftline Graphics provide high-speed web, sheet-fed and digital printing, binding, packaging, and other fulfillment services.

“This change in ownership provides investment capital to better position our equipment portfolio and plant operations for the future,” said Rick Bortolotti, vice president and general manager of Times Printing.
