The Meet Group, the New Hope-based dating app company, has increased its projected annual revenue for the second time this year after launching “Quick,” its new one-to-one video chat feature.

Advertising had previously made up the bulk of Meet’s revenues, but the company’s move to highlight video, combined with its acquisition last year of a popular German dating app whose users are used to making in-app purchases, has significantly shifted revenue streams away from advertising toward video.

The company said video is more sustainable, can grow faster and is better for the user experience.
