Pottstown’s Brick House is closing its doors and moving its operations to Amity Township where it will merge with BlackJax American Pub and Grill, writes Brad Rhen for Reading Eagle.

Both eateries are owned by Dave and Blair Walsh. The Brick House opened in March 2008 at the former Security Trust building at the corner of High and Hanover streets.

But the exact closing date for the popular restaurant has not yet been revealed.

“The Brick House has spent a decade in the heart of downtown Pottstown,” said the owners in a Facebook post  “Over the course of this time we had the opportunity to meet and serve some of the greatest people you could ever know.

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end.”

The owners are now planning to use their liquor license in another capacity.

“We have been working towards moving our Montgomery County Liquor License into another concept which we will be revealing after securing our mortgage on our new property,” they said.

“We thank you all for your support over the years, and look forward to seeing you in our other locations!”
