AmerisourceBergen Restructures Its Operations and Leadership
AmerisourceBergen has revised its organizational structure as it strives to find even better ways to exceed its client’s expectations, writes David Salazar for Drug Store News.
One of the key steps in this process was dividing the teams at its headquarters in Chesterbrook, and those based at its Conshohocken offices into two divisions.
Under the new structure, the Pharmaceutical Distribution and Strategic Global Sourcing division will be led by group president Bob Mauch. His responsibilities now include covering the retail chains, independent pharmacies, health systems, and physician practices.
Meanwhile, AmerisourceBergen’s Global commercialization services and animal health groups will be headed by James Cleary, Jr. This division will cover the company’s solutions for product commercialization and patient access along with international development and animal health.
“This strategy has served as the engine of AmerisourceBergen’s success and we are now evolving our organization to capitalize on our unique portfolio of services,” said AmerisourceBergen president, chairman and CEO, Steve Collis.
