The Hill School football program is entering the new season with one major change: all practices, scrimmages, and games will be played at the newly-renovated Madden Stadium, writes Evan Wheaton for The Pottstown Mercury

The new stadium in Pottstown comes complete with turf, bleachers, and a dazzling scoreboard that has play clocks on either end. These upgrades were added thanks to the money donated by Pat Madden, Frank Puccio, Scott Granowski, and Mark Richardson, all of whom are Hill School football alumni.

Now, it is time for the team to make some new memories on the new turf.

“It’s amazing, the playing surface is awesome,” said junior quarterback Charlie Hewitt. “We’ve got the new scoreboard and stands, and it’s super generous, but nothing matters unless we win. We have to take the next step and work on being successful.”

The team has also found its new head football coach in Mike Boyer, who replaced Orlando Patterson. Boyer first joined the team last year as an offensive coordinator. He previously spent 14 years as an assistant coach at Albright College
