Iconic Auctions in Scottsdale, Arizona has put a Kobe Bryant signed and inscribed Bala Cynwyd Middle School yearbook with an L.A. Lakers reference up for bids.

The 1992 yearbook is from the NBA legend’s eighth-grade year at the Montgomery County school. It is inscribed in blue ballpoint pen on the second-to-last left page.

The inscription reads: “In a few years you will probably be dunking on me. NOT!! How about those Lakers – Your friend, Kobe Bryant #24”.

Four years later, Bryant donned #24 for the Lakers.

The minimum bid for the yearbook is $2,500. The yearbook is available as part of Iconic Auctions’ Internet-only Autographs & Memorabilia auction. Bidding has already begun and will end on Feb. 29.

Jeff Woolf, the president of Iconic Auctions, called the Bryant yearbook “both timely and poignant.”

“It’s crazy if you think about it,” he said. “Here’s a kid rooting for the Lakers who not only ends up a player on the team four years later, but arguably goes on to become the greatest player in team history. You just don’t see something so prophetic like that ever surface.”
