After spending decades away living in New York, host of the CNBC show “Mad Money” Jim Cramer has finally returned to his native state of Pennsylvania after buying a home in Quakertown, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The last time Cramer called the Philadelphia area home was when he graduated from Springfield High School in Montgomery County in 1973. He was born in Wyndmoor.

But Pennsylvania – and the larger Philadelphia area specifically – never left his mind during his time at Harvard University, his years as a journalist, law student, stocker broker, hedge fund operator, and finally host of “Mad Money.”

“I like Pennsylvania more than I like New York,” said Cramer. “I just love it.”

Although Cramer still has his primary home in New York for ease of commuting to the CNBC studios, Cramer is deeply invested in the future of Philadelphia and Quakertown.

“I mean, Quakertown, I want to do something to help that town because that’s a great town,” said Cramer. “I always said if I ever did well in life and got lucky, I would like to buy a place in Bucks County. And I love it. I love Pennsylvania so much. It’s just the greatest.”

Cramer already spent Thanksgiving in his new Quakertown home, and he’s looking forward to spending his Christmas vacation there as well.
