“An Engineered Injustice” involves a deadly train crash in North Philadelphia. The engineer is the cousin of the book’s protagonist, Vaughn Coburn, a young trial attorney. Coburn owes his cousin because of something that occurred when they were both younger and agrees to represent the engineer. Coburn quickly comes to realize that the crash was no accident and that his cousin is being set up to take the blame. Coburn finds himself in a life-and-death struggle not only against the secret and powerful forces that caused the crash but against a local mob ruler whose son was killed in the crash and who is out for blood.

“My goal with ‘An Engineered Injustice’ was to grab readers from the outset and take them on an emotional roller coaster,” Myers said. “I wanted to convey the sheer scope of this sort of tragedy on the lives of the people affected, from the passengers and their families to the family of the man wrongfully scapegoated.”

Myers and his wife, Lisa, have called Wayne home for the past two decades. As a graduate of Penn Law and with his law practice in Philadelphia, he has 35 years of trial experience handling cases up and down the East Coast and has argued before the United States Supreme Court. His law practice, The Myers Firm, Attorneys at Law, P.C., is a personal injury law firm that handles railroad, truck and auto, nursing home negligence and medical malpractice cases.
