A Spring City home owned by Paul and Veronica Semon will be featured on an episode of the new, highly anticipated HGTV show Cheap Old Houses. The show debuted last night, writes Fran Maye for the Daily Local News.

The nearby 1896 Chester County home purchased by the couple for $150,000 will be spotlighted in a Cheap Old Houses episode that will air later in the month. They will walk through the house and describe it and what needs to be done.

“The producers came out in February when we had a ton of snow,” said Veronica Semon. “My husband was up at 4 AM shoveling the driveway. The production crew was here from seven in the morning to seven at night and filmed the entire day. It was really cool.”

The 10-episode series stars Ethan and Elizabeth Finkelstein.

Both the HGTV series and it’s social media counterpart highlight bargain properties that are architecturally intact and priced at or under $150,000.

The Semons bought their home for $150,000 after it failed to sell at auction. They then had to invest additional funds to renovate it.

But their investments paid off: Appraisers recently valued their home for $450,000.
