Hatfield artist Tom Young of Ice Concepts drew huge crowds of admirers with his stunning Harley motorcycle ice sculpture at the CenturyLink Ice Art Fest in downtown Carlisle, writes Joseph Cress for The Sentinel.

The frozen sculpture of the motorcycle was sponsored by Appalachian Harley-Davidson on the Carlisle Pike, and was placed in the parking lot of the Cumberland County Historical Society during the three day celebration of ice sculptures, food trucks, and family activities.

Young started crafting the sculpture from ten 300-pounds blocks of ice which were roughly stacked in the shape of a parked motorcycle. He then sculpted the masterpiece using chainsaws, chisels and other tools.

“It has been getting a huge response,” commented Bob Hammaker, a customer service representative at the dealership. “You see the attention to detail.”
