The Rabbit Hole Set to Open in Conshohocken, Inviting Locals to Sip, Snack, and Stay Curious

The Rabbit Hole opens in Conshohocken this week, offering tapas, custom wine, and Alice-inspired flair in a velvet-lined, locally run escape.

The Rabbit Hole, a whimsical new wine bar and small-plates concept, is preparing to open in Conshohocken—and it’s anything but ordinary.

The brainchild of husband-and-wife duo Alysa and Tony Avila, the bar leans into their shared love for Alice in Wonderland with velvet seating, playful design flourishes, and a moody wine cellar housing over 2,400 bottles.

General Manager Laurel Kolber, a veteran of Philadelphia’s Wicked Wolf, helped guide the concept from construction to service. Originally brought on by her father, who served as general contractor, Kolber’s talents quickly earned her a permanent spot on the team.

The menu, led by chef Jonah Farber, focuses on curated wine pairings, tapas, and standout flatbreads like the short rib and Gouda. The bar’s centerpiece? A house-labeled Pinot Noir from Ricci Vineyards, crafted exclusively for The Rabbit Hole.

Kolber envisions the spot as a go-to for pre-dinner drinks, late-night industry nights, or relaxed Sunday outings. “I want guests leaving happy and looking forward to coming back” she says.

With a translucent granite bar top, happy hour specials, and interiors by designer Kendra Feeney of Brickhouse Designs, the bar is primed to make a splash.

The Rabbit Hole officially opens this Wednesday, May 21, welcoming guests to see just how deep this new Conshohocken hotspot goes.
