Norristown State Hospital Transformation Project Approved

The transformation project of the Norristown State Hospital, called the Preserve at Stony Creek, was approved and expects completion by 2032.

Plans for what is being called the largest development project in Montgomery County’s history are moving forward, according to a staff report from 6abc.

The Norristown State Hospital transformation project has now received the final approval from local officials.

Named the Preserve at Stony Creek, the project will feature more than 700 townhomes and apartment units set on nearly 70 acres, as well as space that can be used to develop shopping, restaurants, and offices.

Construction in Norristown is slated to be completed by 2032.
