Kennett Square Welcomes Ground Provisions, a One Stop Shop for Groceries and Dining
Kennett Square is welcoming two new eateries that offer up American fare. James Beard finalists Rich Landau and Kate Jacoby are known for their flagship restaurant Vedge in Center City, which has drawn praise from vegans over the past 12 years, writes Ed Williams for Main Line Today
Now, they are bringing Ground Provisions market to the former Inn Keeper’s Kitchen to offer environmentally friendly services.
Ground Provisions serves fair-trade goods, including homemade wraps, kombuchas, and tea. To get the full-service dining experience, patrons can stop by the intimate eight-table dining from Thursday to Sunday starting at 5 PM, and enjoy a full bar full of natural wines and specialty cocktails.
The menu is seasonal and is 100 percent plant-based and organic. Summer tasting includes items such as smoky eggplant puree and stuffed pappardelle.
Also new to Kennett Square is Sweet Amelia’s, named after the owners’ daughter. This restaurant also has New American fare and will be taking over the former space of Verbena BYOB. It offers items such as duck breast and lion’s mane mushrooms.
