These Montgomery County Places Among Cities with Fastest Growing Home Prices in Philadelphia Metro
Over the last several years, the pandemic has been a driving force behind the real estate boom causing home prices to skyrocket in Montgomery County, reports Stacker.
In fact, among the 30 cities in the Philadelphia metro area that have seen their prices rise the fastest, six are in Montgomery County.
Bryn Mawr ranked third with a 1-year price increase of $79,614 (11.0 percent) and a five-year price increase of $230,248 (40.1 percent). A typical home value in Bryn Mawr is now $804,539, the second most expensive city in the metro area.
Wynnewood is next in No. 12 with a 1-year change of $73,898 (11.8 percent) and a five-year change of $200,373 (40.0 percent). A typical home value is $701,587.
Chalfont, with a typical home value of $519,180, follows in No. 14. The recorded increases are $73,574 (16.5 percent) for one year and $160,054 (44.6 percent) for five years.
Blue Bell is in No. 16 with $70,734 (14.1 percent) and $153,145 (36.4 percent) increases respectively, followed by Narberth in No. 20 with $69,507 (10.4 percent) and $208,228 (39.1 percent).
Ambler in No. 30 with a one-year change of $65,788 (12.9 percent) rounds out the list.
