Bryn Mawr-based Main Line Health and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) have entered into a pediatric affiliation agreement, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Following the deal, Main Line Health will transition all its pediatric care and services from Nemours Children’s Health in Wilmington to CHOP.

“Nemours has been a valued partner of Main Line Health for 25 years, providing excellent care to our pediatric community,” said Jack Lynch, Main Line Health CEO. “Now, we look forward to a long and collaborative relationship with CHOP in delivering comprehensive and convenient pediatric care, programs, and services to our youngest patients and families everywhere.”

CHOP doctors and advanced practice providers will now provide care for pediatric patients at the neonatal intensive care units at four acute care hospitals owned by Main Line Health, including Lankenau Medical Center, Wynnewood, and Bryn Mawr Hospital. They will also be responsible for providing care at Bryn Mawr Hospital’s inpatient pediatric unit and emergency department.

“Driving this alliance is our shared dedication to improving children’s health,” said Madeline Bell, CHOP CEO.
