Aqua Pennsylvania has completed $2.6 million in infrastructure improvement projects in Westtown, East Goshen, and Pocopson townships. These upgrades will improve reliability for customers throughout Chester County.

Crews have completed a $1 million project in Westtown Township to replace about 4,100 feet of aging, eight-inch, non-metallic pipe with new, eight-inch, ductile iron water main on Shiloh Road between Ashley and Little Shiloh roads.

In East Goshen Township, crews have completed a $901,000 project to replace about 4,800 feet of aging, eight-inch, non-metallic pipe with new, eight-inch, ductile iron water main on the following streets:

• Heather Lane between Boot Road and Irene Drive
• Clover Lane between Boot Road and Chambord Place
• Thistle Lane between Clover and Heather lanes

Recently, crews have also completed a $780,000 project in Pocopson Township to install a new, 12-inch, ductile iron water main on the following streets:

• Pocopson Road (S.R. 3023) between West Street Road (S.R. 926) and Trolley Way
• West Street Road (S.R. 926) between Pocopson Road (S.R. 3023) and a point 700 feet West of Pocopson Road

These projects are part of Aqua’s continuing infrastructure improvement program. The new water mains will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water and improve water flow in the area.
