Patricia Gallagher, a Norristown resident and author of 150 Ways to Sprinkle Kindness in Your Community, uses every opportunity to emphasize the importance of kindness, writes Nicole Borocci for 6ABC.

She organizes free programs at senior centers where she leads discussions on kindness as a way to combat loneliness. She has also founded three national kindness projects, including donating day-old flower bouquets to senior citizens.

Some seniors liked her message so much that they have become volunteers themselves.

Now with the holidays approaching, Gallagher has created a free calendar with 30 ideas on how to spread kindness.
