Phoenixville couple Alex Jensen and Abby Rae Albright-Jensen are ready to head out on an adventure of a lifetime. They’re embarking on a 30,000-mile-long trip across America, writes Jen Samuel for the Daily Local News.

The family will board the RV they bought a few months ago and depart in August. It will take them more than a year to traverse all 50 states.

“Quarantine gave us a totally new perspective on being together. And it’s nice to know that we will continue to be able to experience life together in this amazing new way,” said Jensen.

They plan to stop mostly at national and state parks along the way. Jensen, who recently quit his insurance job to become a full-time artist, will capture the landscapes on canvas. The sale of his work will help finance the trip as it rolls forward.

“The other half of our destinations, we will be exploring the back roads of America, staying at a variety of farms and venues mostly off the grid through a third-party program called Harvest Hosts,” Alex Jensen said. “I am very excited to paint the ruggedness and the history that, to me, these places embody most.”
